We
want to congratulate Sarah Clower on her purchase of Shaikh Soufian.
We have a few retained breedings that may be available.
Shaikh Soufian
(Shaikh Al Badi x Taira) 1987 Grey Stallion; Straight Egyptian,
Al Khamsa.
He is sired by 1972 U.S.
Reserve National Champion Futurity Colt Shaikh Al Badi. Shaikh
Al Badi sired 14 National winners himself. Shaikh Al Badi's
dam, *Bint Maisa El Saghira++ is the only mare in breed history
to be a U.S. Top Ten winner in Halter, English Pleasure, and Park.
She also produced 5 champions. She conquered the American show ring
with her leggy elegance and striking movement. Shaikh Al Badi, born
in 1969, became one of *Morafic’s most prolific sons, siring
nearly 700 foals.
Shaikh
Soufian’s dam is Taira, Soufian’s last daughter who
has been exported to Kuwait. Soufian is sired by the legendary Alaa
El Din and out of Moniet El Nefous. Taira traces in tail female
to the highly regarded and treasured Yosreia.
Shaikh Soufian
possesses the classic Arabian characteristics and motion that makes
the Arabian horse special. Often, in the pursuit of specific characteristics,
other desired characteristics are lost. By going back to the legendary
Arabians, these classic Arabian traits can be revitalized. We are
excited at what Shaikh Soufian can add to any program.
