to Sunset Hill Farms. We would like to introduce ourselves and our
stallion Sahiba Turat…..Our journey into the world of Egyptian
Arabian horses truly began at the 2000 Egyptian Event. While our experiences
showing Arabian horses as youth and as young adults was rewarding,
we had not been exposed to the truly exquisite qualities of the Egyptian
Arabian. In the Spring of 2000, we purchased an EBC colt and took
him to the event to compete in the illustrious Egyptian Breeder’s
Challenge. We were amazed at the quality of horses and individuals
at the event from around the world. In the aura of the Event, we were
moved to build an exceptional straight Egyptian Arabian breeding program.
Our goal is to breed international quality halter and performance
straight Egyptian horses and to ultimately be recognized as an influential
breeder in the industry. We believe the Egyptian horse possesses the
best qualities to shape the Arabian horse world. To this end, we have
sought the best straight Egyptian bloodlines available in the industry
to begin our program. Our broodmare band consists of beautiful daughters
of Simeon Shai, Shamruk, Thee Desperado, Hia Sud Abnus, and Asasi
Mashallah among others. Our mares trace in tail female to Bint Maisa
El Saghira, Sabrah and Magidaa, among others. These particular offspring
possess the extreme type and size that will allow them to excel in
the show ring at the highest levels. In 2003, we produced our first
foals, two exceptional fillies, each with their own strengths. After two and a half years, we finally found a colt that took our breath away, Sahiba Turat. Sahiba Turat, our Jr. Stallion, possesses an extremely physical presence while maintaining a very typey and graceful appearance. He is very correct, has great motion, and a “I am the Greatest!” attitude which is essential in the show ring. Sahiba Turat now has three foal crops on the ground and they are fullfilling everything we had hoped. Each year you may see us at The Sunflower Arabian horse show in Wichita, KS, the Egyptian Event at the Kentucky Horse Park near Lexington, Kentucky, and the American Royal Arabian horse show in Kansas City, MO. In addition, we plan on attending other shows each year around the Midwest, Midwest Regionals, and ideally the U.S. Nationals.
